Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accessories Designer to join their team in NYC on a temp to perm basis! If you have 5 years + of design experience and have worked on accessories, please apply below.

Duties:

  • Create seasonal accessory collections across men’s and women’s categories in line with brand direction that meet customer’s needs.
  • Research global trends, materials, hardware, and silhouettes to inspire innovative concepts.
  • Develop sketches and CAD drawings.
  • Partner with Technical Design and Product Development teams to translate concepts into tech packs and detailed specifications for sampling and production.
  • Select appropriate materials, trims, and hardware.
  • Ensure consistency in design aesthetics, construction, and brand identity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including merchandising, product development, and marketing.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and factories regarding prototypes, samples, and revisions.
  • Attend fittings and provide design solutions during development cycles.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accessories design experience
  • Strong hand sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD skills.
  • Solid knowledge of accessory construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent trend forecasting and concept development abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A passion for accessories and a good eye for detail, proportion, and function.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of our brand and customer
  • Ability to travel as needed.
