What you'll be doing: Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. Rack installation, including racking of components, positioning racks, cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams. Rack deinstallation, including powering off, cabling removal, and rack component removal. Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRUs. Troubleshooting and resolving Telco Connectivity issues. Troubleshooting and replacing Network Switch equipment. Communicating within a ticketing environment managed by multiple Oracle Cloud service teams. Documenting activities and updating SOPs. Performing structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables. Executing small projects independently and collaborating with managers on larger projects. Requirements: Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware. Interest in learning new data center concepts. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail and quality assurance. Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays. At least 3 years of experience in an IT environment. Experience in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts. Experience with on-call shifts and responding to critical events. Ability to raise issues to senior staff and management. Knowledge of IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, SCSI, Linux/Unix, GRUB). Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus. Preferred Qualifications 2-year or 4-year degree or 3+ years of experience. Experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber), testing cables, and understanding cooling and electrical systems in data centers.
