Job Title: Fashion Designer

Location: Montreal, QC

About THE KRIPT: THE KRIPT is a forward-thinking fashion brand committed to creating trendsetting and innovative designs. We are looking for a talented Fashion Designer who shares our passion for creativity, excellence, and pushing the boundaries of fashion.

Reports to: CEO and HEAD OF DESIGN TEAM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development:
  • Create innovative fashion collections that align with THE KRIPT ’s brand identity and market demand.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, and fabric selections.
  • Produce detailed technical sketches and CAD drawings for prototypes and production.
  • Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, materials, and consumer preferences.
  • Develop mood boards to represent the direction of collections, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure design feasibility and adherence to quality standards.
  • Present design concepts and collections to THE TEAM for feedback and approval.
  • Collaborate with OVERSEAS SUPPLIERS and sample machinists to bring designs to life.
  • Attend design meetings, presenting ideas and working collaboratively with the marketing and production team.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage the critical path schedule, ensuring timely completion of all design-related tasks.
  • Coordinate with designers and other external partners as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of design processes, fabric swatches, and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on womenswear.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for fashion trends and a keen eye for detail.
