The Practice Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a veterinary practice, ensuring efficient and high-quality care for patients, delivering outstanding service to clients, and maintaining smooth business operations. This role involves managing the administrative, financial, and human resources functions of the practice while working closely with veterinarians and staff to maintain a positive, productive work environment. A strong focus on growth, operational excellence, and exceeding financial and operational goals are key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities include staff management such as supervising and leading all practice staff, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management, and developing staff schedules. Financial management duties include overseeing budgeting, billing, expense management, and collaborating on financial goals. Client relations involve coaching the team to provide exceptional customer service and monitoring client feedback. Operations management includes inventory, scheduling, office supplies, equipment maintenance, and policy implementation. Marketing and business development responsibilities include executing marketing strategies, managing social media and community outreach. Compliance involves ensuring adherence to veterinary regulations, health and safety laws, and OSHA requirements. Technology management includes training staff on practice technology and coordinating IT support. Qualifications require 3-5 years managerial experience preferably in veterinary or healthcare, with preferred credentials such as CVPM, CVBL, or a bachelor's degree. The position is full-time with possible evening/weekend hours and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional physical tasks.
