What you'll do here:

As a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer, you will provide expert guidance, explain, prepare, and complete accurate tax forms for clients, including multiyear, multistate, and year-end forms. You will also support IRS audits, complete e-filing, and provide printed copies of returns for review, signing, and e-filing to IRS and state agencies.

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Address tax-related questions and assist with future tax planning.
• Process client payments and ensure timely deposits.
• Engage in marketing and business development efforts.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, providing guidance and leadership when needed.
• Handle sensitive, confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Skills you'll bring for success:

• 3+ seasons of tax experience (note: experience with friends and family does not count).
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• PTIN Certification: required.
• Must be Maryland Certified or able to become MD certified within 2 weeks of hire.
