BASIC FUNCTION: The Resort Clean & Shine Crew ensures the cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces, event spaces, restrooms, lounges and back-of-house locations at The Essex Resort & Spa. This role supports a welcoming guest experience through detailed cleaning, restocking and upkeep of high-traffic areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of all public spaces, including lobbies, event spaces, lounges and restrooms (including poolside restrooms).
  • Clean event spaces and restrooms after each function, including carpet and hard floors, fixtures and surfaces.
  • Check and clean all public and poolside restrooms frequently during your shift, restocking paper supplies as needed.
  • Remove trash and vacuum carpets in treatment rooms, offices and other designated areas.
  • Perform routine deep cleaning tasks such as dusting furniture and artwork, polishing brass fixtures, carpet cleaning and floor scrubbing.
  • Keep your work cart neat, clean and organized.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues or special cleaning needs.
  • Return lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Practice all safety standards, including immediate cleanup of spills.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • You have an eye for detail and a passion for cleanliness.
  • You're reliable, professional and take pride in your work.
  • You're comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • You enjoy being part of a team that helps others feel relaxed and cared for.
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is helpful, but not required—we're happy to train the right person!
