As a Safety Engineer, you will ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public on our world class projects. The Safety Engineer is responsible for creating a culture of care while enforcing Clark's Safety and Health Policy, as well as, local and federal safety standards on jobsites. This role participates in the safety education in partnership with project supervisors to develop safe work plans for all phases and tasks. To us, no project is successful unless it is built safely.ResponsibilitiesDrive the Clark safety culture on a projectOversee and ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and general publicEnforce corporate and project specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standardsIdentify known or potential exposures and recommend corrective actionDevelop, coordinate, and implement overall project specific safety programsPartner with field supervision to ensure safety hazard mitigation measures are included in the planning of project construction activitiesDevelop project specific safety education for jobsite personnel, including subcontractors, based upon upcoming work activities or recent at-risk trendsDrive and create a safety vision and aligns the team to deliver and achieve a safe workplace for everyoneFacilitate third party safety reviews including OSHABasic Qualifications2+ years of relevant construction safety experience with an undergraduate degree in safety and health (or related discipline) or demonstrated construction safety and trade experienceAbility to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partnersProof of training and experience in managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safetyStrength in managing multiple competing priorities in a deadline driven environmentAgile, energetic, data driven approach to achieving individual and organizational objectives while balancing short term and long term goalsAlignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships, builds people/teams and followership, sets direction and executesPreferred QualificationsOSHA 30 HourCHST or CSP1st Aid/CPR trainingClark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. For this role the base salary range is $68,000-100,000. Compensation may varyoutside of this rangedepending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
