About the team and the role :

As a staff content designer on our regulatory team, you’ll create intuitive, highly scalable products that simplify compliance for eBay customers around the globe. Working closely with a team of cross-functional partners, you’ll navigate an evolving compliance landscape to build safe, AI-powered experiences from the ground up.

While previous regulatory experience is not required, you’ll be encouraged to provide thought leadership, excellence in the craft and experience driving strategy within a highly complex and inter-connected product space.

As a full-stack staff content designer, you know writing is designing. You see language as a design material and as an integral part of the UX design process, and you get others to think the same. You not only understand how to evaluate the quality of content design, but also chip in to the evolution of frameworks, guidelines, or standard processes. You enjoy working with cross-discipline partners to co-create strategies, iterate through all stages of fidelity, and define outcomes in ambiguous spaces. 

What you will accomplish :

• Drives key features, products or initiatives based on company priorities

• Build scalable solutions that set subject area standards

• Contribute to the evolution of frameworks, guidelines, and standard processes

• Drive a cohesive product narrative and end-to-end consistency in partnership with marketing and customer support teams.

• Ensure content is accessible and inclusive, and collaborate with the Localization team to scale content for global markets.

What you will bring :

• 8+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 6+ of those years on in-product UX content

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or related field portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions

• Experience leading the design process from early concept to launch

• Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
