We are mission-driven, committed to delivering high-quality in-home care through a decentralized model that empowers local leadership. We’re seeking an operationally-minded VP of Finance & Accounting to architect and scale the financial backbone of a growing, multi-entity care platform. The Role The VP of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for owning the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all financial functions at Pando. This leader will build scalable systems, coach a growing team, and partner with leadership and the board to enable sound decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve all accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring GAAP-compliance and multi-region cost allocations Oversee and support the day-to-day work of finance personnel; streamline workflows for maximum productivity Instill a culture of cost-consciousness by improving spend visibility and implementing tighter spend controls Drive the annual budgeting process and deliver insightful variance analysis to internal stakeholders Prepare quarterly financial reports and manage relationships with external lenders and capital partners Manage the full-cycle tax filing process and coordinate with external tax advisors Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and management Partner with executive leadership and the board to support strategic growth initiatives and M&A integration Own and optimize the flow of data across key systems (EMR, HRIS/Payroll, CRM, Accounting) to ensure they are fully integrated and synchronized Ensure real-time visibility into financial and operational performance by leveraging system integrations and dashboards Serve as the architect of a “single source of truth” environment, minimizing manual work and eliminating double data entry Qualifications Must-Have: ~5+ years of strong performance in a fast-paced finance or accounting role ~ Deep knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems ~ Sees the big picture and connects the dots across tools, teams, and data ~ Strong communicator with executive presence Preferred: CPA certification Track record of building or scaling finance functions Experience in an investor-backed, multi-site services business (e.g. healthcare, home services) What Success Looks Like in 6 Months Accurate, timely monthly reporting delivered without exception Updated and rationalized chart of accounts Finance workflows streamlined with supporting systems/tools in place Tools and processes implemented to reduce costs and eliminate waste What to Expect This role is ideal for someone who: Thrives in dynamic environments and knows how to bring structure to complexity Operates with a builder’s mindset: hands-on in the work while simultaneously elevating the system Is proactive, accountable, and takes ownership of outcomes Brings a growth mindset and is eager to keep learning
