THE POSITION

  • You have a passion for disability management, worker’s compensation, understanding provincial legislation across a variety of provinces
  • You are comfortable as the main point of contact and support for all employees on leave, managing one-on-one communication, meetings, packages, files, return to work planning and accommodations, working collaboratively with managers and third-party insurance carriers
  • You are the key contact with health insurance carriers, participating in discussions and strategies related to disability and wellness
  • Support the continual development of full year wellness initiatives, and promoting employee wellbeing and engagement nationally
  • You like to indulge your creative side and can prepare communications which highlight corporate programs and wellness initiatives
  • You enjoy virtual and onsite events planning activities related to company wellness initiatives, able to rally others to the wellness cause and participation
  • You are analytical and can accurately prepare information and reports that facilitate accurate payroll processing
  • You will identify, implement, and carry out process improvements and projects to enhance partner experience and business efficiency demonstrating your strong skill set in administration
  • You are deadline driven, and manage your priority and flow of work easily meeting all hard deadlines while leaving time for peer review as needed
  • You are comfortable in excel, functioning at an intermediate level, able to learn new efficiencies as you go
  • You can work efficiently in technology, auditing work and system entries ensuring accuracy of information, adjusting as necessary
  • You have exceptional attention to detail, able to work independently as needed, but always providing consistent, accurate information
  • You can work collaboratively and enjoy working in a fast paced, national corporate environment

THE CANDIDATE

You have a post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business, complemented by 2-3 years’ relevant employee wellness and disability management experience. You are customer centric, able to work collaboratively, adjusting your communication to your intended audience. You have previous experience in HRIS (Workday) and payroll systems (Workforce Now). You have attained your CHRP designation or are currently working towards the completion of this certification.

*Bilingualism is an asset for this position

This role is hybrid, working two (2) to three (3) days per week in our Corporate Head Office, located in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
