Executive Director, Aquinas Center at Candler School of Theology Join to apply for the Executive Director, Aquinas Center at Candler School of Theology role at Emory University Overview Emory University seeks a visionary, collaborative Executive Director for the Aquinas Center of Theology (ACT) at Candler School of Theology. The role involves managing operations, advancing the center's mission to enhance Catholic scholarship across Emory and the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and fostering community collaborations. The position reports to the Board of Directors, collaborates with Candler’s Catholic Studies program, and requires a candidate deeply engaged in Catholic life and theology. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations, budget, and finances in collaboration with staff and university entities. Enhance Catholic scholarly presence through programs, activities, and dissemination of scholarship. Administer and advise students in the Catholic Studies minor; potential teaching opportunity. Collaborate on programming and outreach with faculty and staff at Candler School of Theology. Develop fundraising strategies and cultivate donor relationships. Steward resources effectively, including donor gifts. Report regularly to the Board of Directors with accurate updates. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree related to program work and five years of experience, including at least three years in a leadership role, or equivalent experience. PhD in Theology or related discipline preferred. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Catholic intellectual traditions and engagement with Catholic life. Experience in marketing, event management, and program development. Budget management skills and experience in resource stewardship. Experience in community collaboration and public speaking. Strong organizational and staff oversight abilities. Commitment to integrity and Christian charity.
